Children are amazing.....
We arrived home from our Florida Trip,
to an empty home...
We knew it would be empty....
While we were gone,
our Sending Team Leaders arranged
to have our home's few furnishing that were remaining
moved into storage
When we walked in,
I didn't know how the children would take it...
seeing almost everything gone,
their mattresses on the floor,
clothes in boxes.
I cried,
don't think they noticed thank goodness
But they walked in
at first they were quiet
but then.....
They realized that this could be awesome ~
They spent the day making homemade Pirate costumes and weapons
And took advantage of the space
and ....
well.....
Pirate killed eachother ~
I am trying to be more like them,
more childlike.
Watching them takes my breathe away ~
They remind me that we are brave enough
to do this ~
Matthew 18:2-5
The Message
For an answer Jesus called over a child, whom he stood in the middle of the room, and said, “I’m telling you, once and for all, that unless you return to square one and start over like children, you’re not even going to get a look at the kingdom, let alone get in. Whoever becomes simple and elemental again, like this child, will rank high in God’s kingdom. What’s more, when you receive the childlike on my account, it’s the same as receiving me.
Oh! I cannot imagine the emotions you are experiencing right about now. I felt that way when we moved from Illinois to Virginia. But, you are moving on the other side of the world. Excitement, yet, a whole new experience leaving friends and all we know behind for a while. You're amazing to be able to pull up scripture in a time like this. I'd be falling apart. Please keep us posted.
